Strawberry S’mores Meringue Nest
Darker nights call for seriously cosy desserts… and this one is made for gathering everyone around the table.
We’ve taken the campfire classic, given it a gloriously messy fruity twist, and piled it high. Think a Strawberry Meringue Nest, a giant toasted marshmallow, crunchy digestive biscuits, fresh strawberries and a generous drizzle of chocolate sauce.
Sweet, sticky, chocolatey and just the thing for an autumn night in. Make a few for the family, pop on your favourite film and prepare for things to get gloriously messy.
Serves: 1 generously (or share if you’re feeling nice)
You’ll Need:
- 1 TGM Strawberry Meringue Nest
- 1 giant American marshmallow
- 1–2 digestive biscuits or sweet crackers
- A small handful of fresh strawberries
- Chocolate sauce, for drizzling
Let’s Get Messy:
- Skewer your marshmallow and toast until golden, soft and gloriously gooey. Use a kitchen torch or carefully pop it under the grill.
- Place your Strawberry Meringue Nest on a plate and nestle the warm toasted marshmallow right into the centre.
- Add a digestive biscuit (or two - we’re not judging) and finish with a juicy fresh strawberry.
- Drizzle generously with chocolate sauce, grab a spoon and get stuck in while it’s still warm and messy.
Best served: on a dark autumn evening, with the family gathered round and absolutely no expectations of sharing nicely.
